I just wouldn’t be comfortable with it and I don’t know why.” Based on the survey conducted by Glamour magazine, at least two-thirds of women are not comfortable with dating a man who had sex with another man.

Bisexual men who finally came out will feel relief after several years of struggle about their sexual orientation. They thought that everything is finally coming into place and that they can date anyone in every gender. They feel excited about their future, most especially about the prospect of dating. But most often they are just naïve, most especially those bisexual men who only met a few of their kind. They are not aware that some straight women and gay men have some misconceptions about them.

For instance, they thought that coming out as a bisexual is only used as an excuse for being a full-blown gay. Some also accused bisexual men of being greedy sex addicts. Some even thought that they are just equally the same as other men and women. Some even proclaimed that they can never be monogamous and faithful. They are even accused of spreading HIV to women.

If you are one of those women who are open to dating bisexual men, then you should think twice before having sex with bisexual men. Having sex with a bisexual man is not advisable most especially during your first date. It’s because of the increase of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) being experienced by both gay and bisexual men. One great example is syphilis which can be seen all over the country. In fact, in 2014, at least 83% of gay, bisexual, and men who had sex with other men are suffering from syphilis. Aside from this, they are often diagnosed with other STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea infections.
